Over the years I have seen some amazing images of abandoned exotic cars just left to rot, there was the XJ220 a Ferrari Mondial and even a Ferrari Enzo.
But who would have thought I would come across an abandoned sports cars in a side street of of Melbourne.
This was my surprising find a few weeks back whilst taking a different route home, a third generation Lotus Espirit.

The car is a very sorry state. The paint is badly faded and stained by being left out in the elements, most of the tyres are flat and there seems to be spider nests everywhere.
As a fan of this particular model of Lotus, it appeared in two Bonds films, it makes you cry seeing it like this. I really hope the owners comes and saves it soon as it seems like such a waste.
