We are down to 4 days till the race engines start for the Bathurst 12hr Race
Today we feature some German engineering in the Porsche 911 GT3 of the team at Competition Motorsports & McElrea Racing
Competition/McElrea are taking it up a notch this year with a step up for the team to a 911 GT3R, the wider body bigger and later model compared to last years version (Above) of the 911 GT3. It will certainly a car to watch on the mountain as the team has some very talented drivers on board. Behind the wheel will be team owner David Calvert-Jones as well as US Porsche Racer Patrick Long and talented Aussie young gun Chris Pither.
This shot, is as the car comes onto the main straight and heads across the start/finish line. I like shooting from this spot with a long lens, such a 400mm as it gives you a great tight shot of the car coming through the corner and up onto ripple strip on the outside of the track.
