Off to the Sidling stage first up over towards the East Coast of Tasmania
It was dark and cold as we left Launceston this morning. We watched the temperature gauge drop slowly as we crept up through the hills.
The lowest we saw before getting to the Sidling stage was -3C
Last year the stage was covered in fog and no sun.
This year it was a very different story with clear skies and sunshine, it made for some very nice scenic images
As well as the scenic images, I also shot some nice tight action shots, including the one of Dean Evans, putting the Lotus in the gravel
From here we headed back to Launceston, to cover the last stage of the day in the small town of Longford. It is a great street stage, the light is good late in the day and there is nice colour and action to be had
After Longford we head back to the Silverdome in Launceston for the end of day service, it was a nice opportunity to photograph the cars arriving back into the dome at the end of the day
