Porsche’s and Ford’s aim to win this year’s 24 hour of Le Mans has gotten off to a great start.
Both teams have taken out Pole Position in their respective categories.
Porsche, which is aiming for back to back overall wins and LMP1, will have its #2 car of Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb. on Pole with the #1 car of Timo Bernhard, Mark Webber, Brendon Hartley starting alongside in second.
Over in LMGTE Pro the Ford GT teams took out four of the top positions.
The #68 entry of Joey Hand, Dirk Müller and Sébastien Bourdais will start from pole
The #69 entry of Ryan Briscoe, Richard Westbrook and Scott Dixon will start from 2nd place
The #67 entry of Marino Franchitti, Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell will start from 4th
Car #66 entry of Olivier Pla, Stefan Mücke and Billy Johnson will start from 5th
The Race which begins at 3pm local time in France, will air live from 10pm on Foxtel on the Eurosport & Foxsport channels.
