As we are only hrs away now from the Opening Ceremony of this year Olympics, it makes me think back
This time 8 years and 1 month ago, I was about to head to Sydney to work at the 2000 Summer Olympic games.
Back in 2000, I was lucky enough to have been selected as a Photo Marshall for the games.
I worked at the Swimming and diving and was in charge of looking after the photographers in different sections of the Pool arena.
It was a awesome 14 days and a lot of fun
It interesting reading now, that this year will be the first year all these kinds of positions are being staffed by local people not by people that have done it in the past
I was also reading today a very interesting article about a photographer and how he packed all his gear for the Olympics
